Breast cancer isn’t diagnosed only in October, and so we accept donations 24/7/365 at Ouidad – Curls for a Cure®.  Thanks to the generosity of customers like you, we’re having our best fundraising year ever and we’ve collected almost $40,000.00 in donations. With Ouidad’s promised dollar-for-dollar match, we’ll be able to donate almost $80,000.00 this year.

BUT… I said almost… We’re not there yet. Please take a moment to join us in funding the fight to find the cure. When you give, we’ll match your donation. There’s no purchase necessary and our combined donation is given to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® where over 90 cents of every dollar donated finds its’ way directly into the hands of a research doctor.

There has been so much progress in research. Only lack of money stands in the way of finding a cure. Your generous donation can help us change the future of breast cancer.

When you donate online at Ouidad.com, you can dedicate your donation. What a great holiday gift.

Wishing you and yours health in the New Year,

Ouidad and Peter

This just in: Ouidad the Queen of Curls and husband and business partner Peter Wise, have been declared New Yorkers of the Week!

NY1, New York City’s 24 Hour Newschannel featured Ouidad and Peter as New Yorkers of the Week, for helping turn curls into a hope for a cure for cancer.

After Ouidad lost her mother to breast cancer, she and Peter began to contribute to research; then Peter came up with a powerful campaign idea in 2001, and Curls for a Cure was born, with proceeds going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

In 2002 Ouidad herself was diagnosed with breast cancer.  While she won her own fight with the disease, she and husband Peter didn’t stop there, vowing not “to let recovery be the end of [her] battle.” Since its inception, Curls for a Cure has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for research.

We are so pleased that Ouidad and Peter have been recognized for their efforts, and hope that this notice brings additional attention to this worthy cause! Out of adversity springs strength, hope, and growth.

Learn more as Ouidad shares what she has learned from her battle from in this Ouidad video about the inspiring Curls for a Cure.

Hear about Curls for a Cure directly from Ouidad and husband Peter and see why they chose to team up with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation where Ouidad, the business, matches donations dollar-for-dollar for this most important mission.

Curls for a Cure was originally created as a tribute to Ouidad’s mother who died of breast cancer and for Ouidad herself who contracted breast cancer at the same age her mother did.  As always, Ouidad’s message is one of hope, as she says,

“Breast cancer is not a death sentence.”
