Curly Hair Picked Last? Not at Ouidad!

As I was watching this season of Shear Genius, I saw one of the challenges was to cut a bob on curly hair… really? That’s the challenge?  These top stylists were going nuts. One even said “I try to never work with this texture” which is almost insulting to us curly heads.  Even in other challenges the models with curly hair were picked last!

This brings me to why I love Ouidad education classes. Each month we have a class teaching other stylists how to cut and style and work with curly hair.  I’m glad to be part of a team that is really trying to push wearing your own natural texture. And they are great! The stylists come in with 9 million questions because they are so eager to learn something to bring back to their clients.

    This is absolutely the worst product that I have ever put in my hair. This product is loaded with sulfate which is the worst thing that you could put in dry, frizzy hair. And beware to new customers ordering on-line. Once you order on-line, they automatically bill and ship you 3 months’ worth of product, so if you HATE the product, be sure to cancel within 90 days so you’re not put on their automatic bill/ship list. Unfortunately, I made that mistake and now I’m being billed $160.00, have to go through the hassle of going to the post office and paying for postage to have it shipped back to them. Extremely unhappy.

    Thank you for writing in. Ammonium lauryl sulfate typically found in shampoos and other cleansers, this substance provides essential moisture, reduces static, and increases pliability. It is derived from natural coconut alcohols. It is gentler than sodium lauryl sulfate, C14-16 olefin sulfate, sodium dodecyl sulfonate, or alkylbenzene sulfonate.     I absolutely love the styling gel and botanical boost! I have been searching for a styling product for my curls forever and I’m so glad I have finally found it. My hair has volume, defined curls, soft and moveable and you cant even feel the product in my hair. I nver thought it was possible.
