Growing up in Connecticut, Lindsey spent many a winter day perfecting her snowboard skills for competition on the world stage. She recently became the all-time leader in Snowboarding World Cup victories with 19 career wins.

At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Lindsey watched gold turn to silver with one quick slip on the snowboard cross course in one of the 2006 Games’ most unforgettable (and unlucky) moments. Now, in the winter of 2010, Lindsey’s in Vancouver, ready to compete at the XXI Olympic Winter Games, and go for the gold once again.

Snowboard Cross is a relatively new event, making its Olympic debut at those 2006 Games. It involves several competitors racing on a course with sharp turns – similar to bobsled – but just add monstrous walls of snow to be jumped! Lindsey knows a thing or two about taming the snowboard course (the beast) as well as taming her curls. She can weather gnarly tangles from helmet-head as well as gnarly turns on the course! Not cold, wind, snow, or even her helmet can defeat her golden curly locks.

Lindsey looks like a winner on the course, during post race interviews and in the photo studio – all done with great style. “Go Lindsey, Go!” We’ll look for you on the podium with a gold medal and your winning golden curls!
