Ouidad’s Curls For A Cure foundation is one of many outstanding ways people can show support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (or any time of year!) Lots of other beauty companies have set their sights on finding a cure as well!

There are many celebrities that use their notoriety to shine a light on some really fabulous charities. This month don’t miss Christina Applegate, Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Simpson who each actively raise funds to help find a cure for breast cancer.

Christina Applegate is not only a breast cancer survivor, but also the founder of Right Action for Women which raises money to provide  all women with adequate breast cancer screenings. Reese Witherspoon is also doing her fair share of fundraising.  Along with Avon’s Walk for Breast Cancer, Witherspoon helped raise $8.1 million in 2008!  And, don’t miss Jessica Simpson’s role as the spokesperson for QVC’s  16th annual “FFANY Shoes on Sale” event, which will donate net  proceeds to breast cancer research and education.

If you’re looking to get involved there are a slew of vehicles that help. Ouidad’s Curls For A Cure, which is an exceptional option with Ouidad matching dollar for dollar – is always a great way to show your support. To learn more, click here!

I think it’s wonderful when celebrities step forward and put a face on illnesses or conditions many people face.

People watch celebrities, and when famous people do charitable work, the message is driven home that much stronger.

And kudos to Ouidad for having such a big heart, too!
