A Ouidad Customer to Admire!

If you visit Ouidad.com regularly, you already know that we are implementing new features and benefits to our website to better guide you to the perfect collection of products for curly hair. As a part of this process, we began retiring a few features that seemed to attract little interest… or so we thought. Within days, more than a few of our curl friends called or wrote to us and said… Hey Ouidad… not so fast.  Here’s part of an email we received just days after eliminating the Quick Shop page from our website:

Dear Ouidad,

I have just finished ordering climate control and botanical boost for my wife Sheila, and it was a chore! In the past, there was a link to “My Favorites,” but no more.  Or, I could check particular items on a list of all your products.  Now I have to figure out whether these are finishing products, styling products, conditioning products, or treatments, and then look for each within these subcategories.

Al, a concerned husband and Ouidad shopper

First, I want to applaud and thank this customer for two things. I want to thank this gentleman because he took the time out of his day to contact us and let us know how he felt. I want to applaud him for ordering hair products for his wife. Al… you’re a great husband.

To all the others that called customer service or wrote recently, we heard you too, and I want to let you know that we’ve restored the Quick Shop page. You can find again in the left navigation of all the shop pages.  For those who are unfamiliar with our Quick Shop page, try it out: http://www.ouidad.com/quick-shop

What Al loves about this page is that you can go down and click the checkbox next to all your favorite curly hair products and then add them all to your basket at the same time with just one click of any of the “Add to Basket” buttons on the page.

Keep sending your thoughts and comments. We’re listening.

Ouidad asks: What’s Your “Hair Mood” Today?

Is your hair reflecting or directing your mood for the day? Are you late? Stressed? Sluggish and finding it hard to get motivated? Does your hair sometimes seem to drive how well you’re getting going that day? Well, it’s true, we have all experienced that “bad hair Day” sometime in the past. The term is part of our social fabric, a common phrase that everyone understands. There’s even an album called Bad Hair Day that made the charts back in the mid ’90s.

So the question is…why? Why let your hair establish your mood for the day?  Since 1982, Ouidad, the first stylist and salon owner in the country to specialize in curly hair, has set the record straight on taking charge of those waves. She has dedicated the past 30 years of her life building an international reputation as “The curly hair expert.” Ouidad says that she has yet to find a winner in the battle with the hair. That’s why we all need to “Work with your hair, not against it. Stop fighting Mother Nature! Learn to work with your waves and you’ll learn to love your curly hair.”

So when you follow the Ouidad way, you are in control: you listen to your hair and work with it.  You can say goodbye to all those “bad hair days”, and instead say “Hello Curls!” Check out Ouidad in the news, and some of the great products on our site. Take control now!

Thank You for the Inspiration!

I would like to thank all of the clients and stylists who have inspired me over the years. I can still remember the first day that I came to work here. Like many of the clients, I felt like I just entered another world. I also couldn’t understand why more places didn’t cater to curly hair clients.

After years of seeing amazing transformations and satisfaction from the clients I’ve decided that I would love to be a part of that happiness. I  love the look that the stylists have when they realize that they just helped someone relieve the stress of battling with their curly hair. Now that I have my license I can’t wait to get the ball rolling. I can’t wait until the day that a client offers to take me home with them so I can do their hair everyday -  lol.
