<description>Keratin treatments apply chemicals and heat to the hair for an extended period of time to straighten the hair. The process not only dehydrates the hair but also causes damage so is discouraged to address frizz. Ouidad sees a lot of people in the salon who have so much breakage and dullness after this treatment so does not recommend it. To deal with frizz, Ouidad recommends doing regular Deep Treatments to feed your hair what it needs – amino acids, proteins, and moisture – in order to get it into a healthy condition.
